When we talk about perimeter protection, one the most used devices are thermal cameras (or Infra-red IR cameras), able to form gray-scale images that represent the environment temperature. These images are much less sensitive to sudden lighting changes and in general offer information that is easier to analyse and generate less false alarms than conventional color cameras. Also, these sensors are passive, which means that are undetectable by others. At Buavi, we have developed an innovative system, that is able to simulate the doppler effect that makes radar work, using only thermal cameras.

How does it work? Using a MIRAD-300 solid state radar with 90º of horizontal FOV and 13º vertical FOV we can detect people up to ~ 350 m and vehicles at up to ~ 500 m

Read moreSharpView is a security platform designed to bring you all the flexibility required when customizing the system to your real needs. In any decent security installation you will have a number of sensors, that will trigger different reactions from the system. An extremely common example is to have Passive Infra-Red detectors (PIR) covering different areas of your site and one or multiple Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) cameras that move to those areas when the PIR(s) are activated.

With a PTZ camera the operator can decide what part of the scene wants to view, allowing free movement in horizontal (pan), vertical (tilt) and even how close he wants to get to a certain object (zoom). Normally these cameras are more expensive but in exchange the area covered with these kind of cameras is greater, so you could use less fixed (static) cameras and add extra coverage for your security system.

The OS window/monitor manager The simplest way to work with multiple monitors is using the features available on our PC. Although most of our users work on Windows this is also applicable to Linux and Mac OSX too. If your PC supports multiple graphic cards you will be able to connect them to your computer using HDMI or DVI.
